The Rabbi Said One Shot, the Camera Said ZeroLast week, I was wrapping up a Bat Mitzvah ceremony. Everything was going perfectly. I’d nailed the family portraits and successfully "sneaked" some tight shots during the service, I was feeling pretty satisfied until I looked at the back of my camera. Chills ran down my spine. The screen read: "Unable to create file structure." With shaking hands, I hit the play button. "No files to display." My heart sank. Even if the family agreed to a reshoot, the ceremony was gone forever. And this happened on my "top-tier" $120 Pro grade SanDisk card. It took me a full minute of pure panic to remember- I shoot with dual slots. Thank God for that second card. I’ve never been more grateful for a backup system in my life The takeaway is simple: Hardware will eventually fail, regardless of the price tag. Whether it's a $10 budget card or a $120 Pro card, technology is fallible. Your professional reputation shouldn't depend on a single piece of plastic. Shoot with dual slots cameras- not negotiable!!!
